Air Sense Environmental wants everyone to be able to learn about radon, request an estimate, and reach us through this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Our target
We aim for the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We have not completed a full conformance audit, and we do not claim the website fully conforms to WCAG. This statement describes what we have tested, what we have not, and how to reach us if something does not work for you.
What we have tested
On October 6, 2026, we ran automated accessibility testing with axe-core 4.10.2, using WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 Level A and AA rules, on 18 representative page types at a desktop width of 1366 pixels and a mobile width of 390 pixels. The pages included the homepage, service pages, a community page, the FAQ, contact, about, reviews, media, author, case study, glossary, and policy pages. The first run found issues, which we fixed:
- Low-contrast text in a footer information bar, which was corrected to a high-contrast color.
- Low-contrast dates and links in the embedded review widget on our reviews page, which were corrected with page styling.
- Small pagination links on mobile, which were enlarged to at least 44 pixels.
- A navigation list structure issue on policy and glossary pages, which was corrected by moving those pages to the main site template.
After those fixes, the automated run reported no violations on the pages and screen widths tested. We also check that the cookie choices panel receives keyboard focus when it opens and that pages offer a skip link to the main content.
Limits of that testing
Automated tools detect only part of what WCAG covers. We have not yet completed a manual screen reader review, full keyboard-only testing of every task, or a review of content clarity. Some barriers may remain.
Third-party content
Some parts of the website come from other providers, including the estimate request form, embedded customer reviews, YouTube videos, Google Maps, and podcast players. We choose and configure these with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their code. If one of them does not work for you, call us and we will help directly.
Other ways to reach us
You never need to use the website to get service. Call 314-664-9807 to ask a question, request an estimate, or schedule radon testing, radon mitigation, crawl space encapsulation, or indoor air quality testing. Our office is at 5237 Old Alton Edwardsville Rd, Edwardsville, IL 62025.
